Assorted News I have found interesting enough as of late to gather into one post.
- Apparently someone in the world feels we need another Carnage mini-series. The only thing keeping me from already hating this is that Zeb Wells is a good writer who apparently made the last Carnage mini-series (about to wrap up) something that wasn't horrendous. I love Venom, but Carnage? Eh.
- Russel Crowe as Superman's Dad in the upcoming movie? Yeah, I guess I could buy that.
- At this rate if a woman wants any sort of birth-control information and isn't wealthy she'll be out of luck. And God help her if she wants an abortion done safely and in a hygienic environment if states' efforts to chip away at Roe V Wade continue to succeed. Women are still going to have to resort to abortions, and we'll be back to the era of back-alleys for all but the rich because politicians want to tell a woman what to do with her body. I thought it was about smaller government, and here we are with so-called tax-focused folk trying to de-fund Planned Parenthood even though that will make the debt worse. I call bullshit on that.
- Leonard Kirk on the X-factor comic as artist come September. Nice.
- I still don't get what a Wii U is.
- A review that says Green Lantern is fun, if those fanboys and fangirls just lighten up a little, relax, and enjoy it. Yeah, like they're going to do that. Some critics hate the movie though, so I have no clue if its going to be good or bad.
- These reviews of Fear-Itself tie-ins show little love for the event. Then again, it has been a huge messy let-down so far.
- Canada isn't getting mail delivered. That is really annoying and must grind business to a halt.
- No really, explain the Wii U to me.
