I'm Proud Of My State Today.

Late yesterday night my state made the historic decision to ensure that equality was guaranteed to all who deserved it when it came to marriage. I am pleased that another step has been taken against the pointless oppression of others just because they are different from what is considered to be the normal ideals for a marriage according to some. I applaud the Democrats and Republicans who knew that they wanted to be on the right side of history because years from now when we look back the youth today who have no problem with equal marriage will be the ones in power, and all those politicans who voted "Nay" on this issue will look as bad as the people who voted for segregation back in the mid-1900s for fear that it was the popular opinion at the time.
