The other day I was at Walgreens and found my sweet tooth had been activated. In order to sate it, I checked the candy offerings and something I had never seen caught my eye. From the 1908 Candy Company, it was some apparently vintage candies they brought back this year. I bought the, "Johnny Apple Treats," and, "Alexander the Grape," flavors. They were a bit like Lemonheads, with a coating on the outside but nice and chewy on the inside. Both of the two I tried were tasty, but I really loved the apple one. Sweet yet with a bit of tart like the green apples they are colored to appear like, it was just delicious. I'm glad the 1908 Candy Company brought these flavors back so folks such as myself could try them for the first time. I plan to buy more the next time I get a hankering for some sweets and will try the other flavors too.
Note: This is not a paid post. The 1908 Candy Company is not aware of my existence. I just really liked their candy and felt like writing about it.
