Television Tuesday: A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter

As readers of the blog are aware, I generally seem to hate a lot of the new and popular pop music. That said, Sabrina Carpenter has a lot of fun tunes that melt my icy-cold heart. Therefore, I streamed the newly-released special, "A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter." It was fun! Anytime singing occurred I was pleased. There are a ton of vocal guest stars--Shania Twain was really cool to see and Chappell Roan did a lovely duet with Carpenter on the classic, "Last Christmas." The skits were a bit hit-or-miss but enough made me laugh I was pleased. The sing-songy one with Kyle Mooney as a brother-in-law Carpenter has no clue what to buy a gift for had me chuckling a lot.

This special doesn't wear out its welcome at just 50-ish minutes and could've had even more songs, I'd say. "A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter," isn't the best Christmas special ever, but it is quite good fun. If you're a fan of Carpenter, holiday specials, or good tunes you'll enjoy it.

4 out of 5 stars.
