Metamorpho is a strange character whose stories I've always enjoyed. Sometimes a solo hero, sometimes part of various DC comic-book teams, his real name is Rex Mason and this December he's getting an ongoing comic written by the amazingly talented Al Ewing featuring art by the stupendous Steve Lieber. Now, that sounds like quite a fantastic team!
Metamorpho can transform into various elements we know from the periodic table and uses this ability to fight all kinds of crime. He's had some zany tales and it sounds like Ewing intends to do more, "100% fun comics," featuring Metamorpho with a, "Done-in-one," style for the issues where each one tells a complete, self-contained tale as opposed to dragging a dull story out issue-after-issue. With the character set to appear in the upcoming, "Superman," movie James Gunn is making there is no better time to help folks get familiar with Metamorpho. Hence, I'm glad he's getting a cool new series for us all to enjoy!
