Back in the good ol' days of the console wars between Sega and Nintendo, I was team Sega. I did love the Nintendo 64, but before that I adored my Sega Genesis and I will forever argue that the Sega Dreamcast was the best console ever and ahead of its time. Hence, I'm a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog too. That is why I was intrigued to read that the Universe of Sonic and friends will be crossing over with the world(s) of DC!
The comic is titled, "DC X Sonic the Hedgehog." The plot sounds relatively straightforward as, "Darkseid crosses dimensions to invade the world of Sonic the Hedgehog, seeking the ultimate power. Sonic and his friends have faced everything from mad scientists to ancient spirits, but the forces of Apokolips may be too much for them. Thankfully, the full heroic might of the Justice League arrives to back them up!" I don't really care what the McGuffin is that gets the Justice League hanging out with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and so forth, however--I'm just excited for such a comic to occur! Sonic and the Flash can see who runs faster, Batman can scold Shadow about his use of guns, and other creative moments can occur. Ian Flynn is writing with Adam Bryce Thomas on art. I look forward to the first issue in March!
